Cassandra Ada Plain

Cassandra Ada Plain, 55, passed away on April 24, 2017 surrounded by family and friends.  She was the wife of Robert Plain.  They shared 25 years of marriage together.

Born in Cuero, Texas on May 26, 1961, Sandy was the daughter of Felix and Beatrice Salazar.  She graduated from Hitchcock High School.  She was a full-time mother and managed the family business, Plain Tile Co.

Sandy had a strong Christian faith and enjoyed attending church.  She spent hundreds of volunteer hours assisting in Toys for Tots and Helping Hands throughout the years.  She found the most joy in doing anything that involved her family, especially her grandchildren.  Sandy will be remembered for her smile, her singing, and the countless phone calls and voicemails she made to all she loved.

Sandy was preceded in death by her grandparents, Fideo and Betty Ybarra; father, Felix Salazar; uncle, Paul Ybarra; cousin, Matt Lopez and niece Alyssa Salazar.

Sandy is survived by her husband, Robert Plain; daughters, Lorilea Salazar (Cyrus), Kelly Bentley (Phillip) and Janine Plain; sons, Lance Dressman (Baili), Robert Plain (Sarah), Dylan Plain, Destin Burris (Lacie) and Daniel Plain (Brittany); mother, Beatrice Salazar; siblings, Noah (Lisa), Berlinda, Patrick and Calvin; grandchildren, Cyrina, Carsyn, Kassidy, Kaleb, Jayden, Luke, Natalie, Luxy, Paxton, Riley, Dawson and the one who brought her laughter in her last days, Layah along with a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

The visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 30, 2017 at Bay Area Funeral Directors, 5410 FM 1765 Texas City, Texas 77591.  The memorial service will be held on Monday, May 1, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Bay Area Funeral Directors with interment to follow at the La Marque City Cemetery.  There will be a repass lunch and gathering at the La Marque VFW.  Memorials may be sent to the funeral home.
