1936 – 2015
Louise Haddock of Texas City, Texas passed away Sunday, January 4, 2015 at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston surrounded by her loving family. She was born December 17, 1936 in Harlem, New York to Lawrence and Marceline Washington. She was a faithful and dedicated member of New Hope Bible Church, in La Marque, Texas. She worked for Manufacturer Hanover Bank and Trust in New York for four years, and also at Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for twenty nine years in Texas City. She loved singing and family gatherings. She loved her family dearly and will be forever missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Marceline Washington; and her brother, Lawrence Washington, Jr.
Surviving to cherish her memories are her loving and devoted husband of 50 years, Hamilton Haddock, her son, LeMar Washington (Diedra), daughter, Felicia Haddock- Wilson (Andrew), her sisters, Marilyn Pender, Laureen Washington, and Lynetta Washington, all of New York, New York, grandchildren, Ledreya A. Washington, Keith Haddock, and Mason Washington all from Texas City, Texas, in-laws, Robbie Yancy, Levi Haddock (Hazel), Duane Haddock, Ronald Haddock, Adrian Mack, and Morraline Haddock, as well as various nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
The family will receive guests for viewing and visitation from 10am until 11am Friday, January 9, 2015, at New Hope Bible Church, 3801 McKinney Extension, LaMarque, Texas 77568. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11am, also at New Hope Bible Church, and Interment will follow at Galveston Memorial Park, in Hitchcock, Texas. Memorials can be sent to the Funeral Home.
