Andra Kent Campbell was born in Shreveport, Louisiana on July 31, 1961 to Ossie Lee and Ella Mae Campbell. He resided in Texas with his parents and five siblings. Andra was a longtime resident of Dickinson, TX. At an early age, Andra joined New Jerusalem Baptist Church and attended Dickinson Independent School District, Class of ‘79’. He rededicated his life at Greater New Hope Baptist Church, Pastor D. Archie.
We all know Yap Yap for shinning those vehicles until they shinned like a diamond. He was the one we called to do the jobs we couldn’t do or didn’t want to do. Andra was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer on May 6, 2017 and passed away on July 12, 2017 after fighting a good fight.
Andra was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, John Wesley & Elnobie Campbell, his maternal grandparents Emanuel Jackson and Lula Bunt,( his father) Ossie Lee Campbell, (brother)Leroy “Peter” Campbell, and (sister) Louella Campbell.
Andra is survived by his (mother) Ella Mae Campbell, Marcus Gilmore (son), LaChae Clemons (daughter), LaTasha Campbell (daughter) & Dinasha Nealy (daughter).
7 grandchildren Zaion Gilmore, Marcus Gilmore Jr. Marcus Clemons Jr, Tay’Leanna Clemons, Chris Parks Jr, Jordyn Parks & Cash Parks

There will be a public visitation held on Saturday, July 22, 2017 from 9am with a church service to begin at 11am at Greater New Hope Baptist Church, located at 908 N. 2nd Street, Alvin, Texas 77511
