Cynthia D. Scott

Ms. Cynthia D. Scott was born in Galveston, Texas on June 22, 1956.  She attended Hitchcock I. S. D. and graduated in 1974.  She furthered her education at Galveston College and College of the Mainland.

She was baptized at Wilbur Chapel United Methodist Church and remained a member until per passing.

She worked in unit management for 31 years in the neo-natal department at UTMB.  She had a passion for baking and worked at the Kroger bakery in Galveston, TX for 7 years.  After retiring from UTMB, she worked at the Hitchcock I. S. D. as a substitute teacher until she took ill.

She received her call into eternal rest on December 5, 2017 at Baywind Village Nursing Home.

She leaves to cherish memories:  her mother, Ella Brooks; sisters, Sharon Armstrong and Regina Scott-Holden; brother, Aaron Scott; daughter, Danielle Scott; grandson, Joshua and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends.

A public visitation will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 10:00 am followed by a memorial service at 11:00 am.  Both events will be held at Bay Area Funeral Directors, 5410 FM 1765 (off Highway 3), Texas City, TX 77591.  409-933-4300.  All memorials may be directed to the funeral home.

My prayers and condolences are with the family. I worked with Cynthia at UTMB. Cynthia was a very nice and caring person . She worked so hard to have the best for her daughter and grandson.

My sincere condolences Cynthia’s family. The Bible teaches that soon we will be united with resurrected loved ones in the righteous new world. John 5:28 and 29.
