Kenneth Dewayne Reeves, 37, passed away from this earthly life December 2, 2018. Dewayne was born January 1, 1981 in Galveston, Texas to mother, Norma Jean Turner.
Dewayne started and completed his education in Hitchcock, Texas, where he was legendary for his basketball skills. Dewayne was notorious for his three-point shots.
Dewayne worked odd jobs here and there but his born talent which he started during his high school years was cutting hair. Dewayne was a natural and one of the best barbers in Galveston County. All he needed was a comb and a razor blade. You swore after he finished there had to be clippers involved. To witness him in action was amazing.
Dewayne loved the Lord and accepted Christ early in life. Dewayne was introduced to his natural calling with the Lord at the young tender age by his grandmother, Ernestine Reeves. At the time, he didn’t understand the calling he had on his life but the countless number of souls and men he taught the word to spoke volumes beyond measure. Dewayne will be remembered for his good heart, goofiness and warm spirit.
Dewayne is preceded in death by his grandfather, Norman Reeves; uncle, Clarence Ray Jordan; aunts, Veronica Burnett, Tokyo Ann Loyden and Pearler Mae Reeves.
Dewayne leaves cherished memories in the hearts of his mother, Norma Jean Turner; aunt, Angela Elaine Batts (Clarence); uncles, Earl Jordan, Royce Reeves, Ernest Jay Reeves, Howard Wayne Reeves (Lisa) and Michael Quinn Reeves; cousins, Lynnica Nelson, Lasonya Reeves and Jessica Nelson; his beloved, Fluffy and a host of other relatives and friends.
