On June 12, 1970, our well known angel Marsha Lanell Williams was born along with her twin Patricia Williams, where the twin fam all started, to her mother, Sandy Dear and father, Everett Hughes. Marsha had also been raised by Joyce and Leon Sumrall. Marsha was born in Galveston, Texas, and into a large family of what would come to be four sisters (Margret, Joyce, Tricia and Crystal) and two brothers (Charles and Timothy). Marsha however was willing to call anyone whom she had grown to know and love family.
Marsha accepted the Lord as her savior at an early age. Her home church was First Baptist Bossier. This is where she gained her strong belief in faith and prayer. Marsha would go on to continue her studies at Bossier Parish Community College. Marsha also bore her first set of twins, Tre & D. Marsha had made many places her homes across the south from Texas to Mississippi and touched many people along the way.
Marsha took pride in being a strong ear, shoulder and heart to those who seem to had needed her the most and again used her passion in faith and prayer to help others see brighter days coming their way!
Marsha would later bear a second set of twins, Jayla & Javon Williams which added to her addiction of seeing her kids happy as she called it.
Marsha primarily worked in the service industry for most of her career solely because she enjoyed making the small things, like a stop for something to eat, the best part of someones day. She was convinced that nobody did it better.
Marsha’s interests included writing poems, listening to music and nothing more than entertaining family.
On July 21, 2019, God suddenly called on one of his strongest children to come home. She is now at his side and forever in our hearts.
A visitation will take place Saturday, August 3, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. followed by a service to celebrate Marsha’s life at 5:00 p.m. Both events will be held at the chapel of Bay Area Funeral Directors, 5410 FM 1765 (facing Highway 3) in Texas City, TX 77591. 409-933-4300.
