On Tuesday, April 23, 2019, Adam John Ruben (“Cowboy”) transitioned from his earthly life into life everlasting with his savior, Jesus Christ.
Adam was born July 20, 1951 in Galveston, Texas as the fourth of seven children born to the late Eugene Ruben, Sr. and Adell Adam Ruben.
Adam received his high school diploma from the Job Corps in 1970. Adam then completed the course of Drafting from the Windham School District in Huntsville, Texas in November 1975. Adam continued his education by attending Lee College in Baytown, Texas to earn his Associate’s Degree in Liberal Arts.
One of Adam’s trades was the painting and restoring of old cars.
Adam was a faithful member of True Rock Gospel Church under the leadership of his sister-in-law, Pastor Barbara D. Ruben.
Adam was united in holy matrimony to his sweetheart, Tammy K. Bryant Ruben on January 25, 2017.
Adam is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, two sisters, two brother and son, Adam Daniel.
Adam leaves to cherish memories a loving and devoted wife of two years, Tammy K. Ruben; loving and devoted mother-in-law, Clarene D. Brown; three sons, Roshan Morgan, Sr., Derrick Bryant and Daryl Minix, Jr. (Kimberly); three daughters, Monique Daniels, Tammie McKinley, Tamishia Bryant (John); a loving and devoted brother, Albert Charles Ruben, Sr. (Barbara); a loving and devoted sister, Dianne Ruben Hutton (late husband, Dr. Hutton); four sisters-in-law, Beverly Henry, Brenda Senegal, Lisa Ruben and Cheryl R. Mason along with a host of grand- and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Adam’s celebration of life service will be held Saturday, May 4, 2019 at 11:00 am at the chapel of Bay Area Funeral Directors, 5410 FM 1765 in Texas City, Texas 77591. 409-933-4300. All memorials may be sent to the funeral home.
