Heaven rejoiced when Christ called Craig Thigpen home on September 15, 2019.
Born on August 11,1981 in Galveston, TX, God richly blessed his parents Craig Player and Jacqueline Thigpen with his presence and he continued to be a blessing to everyone he met throughout his life. As he grew up, he cultivated extremely close bonds with his family, friend and his beloved Phillips St where he attended school in LaMarque, Texas.
Craig dedicated his life to the Lord at a very young age and was baptized at Rising Star Baptist Church by Reverend D.N. Benford. Even with his free spirit, Craig always had a very deep respect for the Lord and his relationship with Christ so he rededicated his life to Christ in 2018 to honor God for all of his grace and mercies. Craig will be remembered for his loving personality, giving spirit and his witty sense of humor.
Craig leaves his treasured memories in the hearts of his most precious gifts from God, his mother, Jacqueline Thigpen, sister’s Ebony and Mercedes Thigpen, Niece, Kamri Mayes, Nephew, Devane Salters Jr., and a host of family and friends.
Homegoing services will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at Bay Area Funeral home 5410 FM 1765 and HWY 3, Texas City, TX 77591 with the viewing starting at 3 p.m. and services following at 5 p.m. Professional services have been entrusted to the staff of Bay Area Funeral Directors.
