Curtis James Duhon, was born January 3, 1944 in Mementau, LA and he was the second child born to Alfred Duhon, Sr. and Flossie Lee Cormier. He grew up in Mermantau, LA and attended school in Crowley and Jennings, LA. He moved to Los Angeles, CA and later to Texas City, TX. He graduated from Booker T Washington High School in 1961. After High School he enlisted in the United States Air Force and retired after twenty years of valiant service.
Curtis is preceded in death by his father, Alfred Duhon, Sr. (Doris); siblings, Alfred Windel Duhon, Ray Harriel Duhon, Alfred Duhon, Jr., and step father, LA Holmes, Sr.
Curtis leaves cherished memories in the hearts of his mother, Flossie Cormier Holmes; his children, Wanda Duhon, Joyia Duhon, Terrance Young, Wesley Duhon, Curliss Williams, Elijah Williams; grandchildren, Kedrin Birdwell, Kennedy Robinson, Nathan Evans, Jr., Jalen Jefferson, Dawayad Freeman, Terrance Young, Jr., Tamara Young, Terrin Young, Terrance Hudson, Morgan Duhon, Elijah Jackson, Alyssa Williams, Addison Williams, Chyna Williams, Joshua Williams, Jermaine Williams, Jordan Williams; siblings, Sandra Gail Duhon-Terry (Howard) , Cora Le Duhon, Gail Aldridge, Joyce Nealy Britton, Jerry Nealy and Jimmy Nealy; lifetime friend, Betty Young Duhon, and a host of other relatives and friends.
A Public Viewing is scheduled for Saturday, September 7, 2019 beginning at 11:00 AM followed by A Service to Celebrate His Life at 1:00 PM. Both Services will be held in the Chapel of Bay Area Funeral Directors at 5410 FM 1765 Texas City, TX 77591. 409-933-4300. Burial Services will be Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at 10:45 AM at Houston National Cemetery, Houston, TX. Memorials may be sent to the Funeral Home.
