Dollie Bell Williams

Dollie Bell Williams was born on January 16, 1948 (71) to Lorraine Bookman Gloson in Huntsville, TX.  They moved to Texas City, TX and made their home on the East side of the city.  She attended school BTW and graduated from TCHS in 1966.  She was an honor student and a class favorite.   Dollie was a very witty and very strong-minded woman. She mastered her instrument in the band and was a Band Majorette. After graduation she attended school later becoming a Unit Secretary at UTMB Galveston where she retired with over 40 years of service. Her family was her first love and she spared no discipline or praise.  Her love for cooking and baking was shown in “the best Sock-it-to-me Cake in the whole world.”  Shopping, sitting in her big comfy chair relaxing and traveling everywhere and anywhere kept her pretty busy.  Her greatest love was spending time with her family and nurturing her four children, but she did NOT play. Dollie loved her mother and sister very much and took very special care of them until their death.  She was a protector and determined to make something of herself… and she did!

Dollie is preceded in death by her mother Mrs. Lorraine Glosson; her sister, Joyce Triplett and her husband Willie “Mike” Williams.

Dollie leaves loving memories to cherish with her children, Rodney Ricard Ray, Sr., Phillisha Ray Declouet, Peddis Ray Sr., Stacey Ray; grandchildren, Rodney Ricard Ray Jr., Kiaya Ray, DeAndre’ Ray, Kayla Soliz Gooodwin, Ayanna Ray, Jerrod Ray, Ben Ray, Tiffany Campbell, Michael Ray, Peddis Ray III, Courian Ray, Samirya Ray, Peyton Ray, Rayden Ray, Robert Harris, Monisha Ray; great grandchildren, Aaliyah Ray, Lilliana Ray, Anaiya Ray, Legend Ray, Arthur Reyna Jr., Makhai Alaniz, Gentree Goodwin Jordan Ray, Christopher Ray, Tru Ray, Marley Ray, Amina Ray, Marley Ray, Nevaeh Hinton, Tia Campbell, Rodney Campbell.
