Yolanda Ybarra Herrera

Yolanda Ybarra Herrera also known to family & friends as “Yoli” or “Baba” age 55, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday September 7, 2019 at Santa Fe, Texas. She was a resident of Alvin and Santa Fe, Texas since 1991 and was known by many around the town. She shared over 33 years of her life with her husband Sergio Rojas Flores.

She was a wonderful, loving mother to three wonderful children whom she was very proud of, Jose Herrera, Yvette Rojas and son in law Ricky Guevara, and Sergio Anthony Rojas. A grandmother to four beautiful grandkids Chris (23), Destiny (11), Baby Jose (5) and Sebastian (11), and Nyjah (22 months). Born on November 27, 1963 in Corpus Christi, Texas, she was the daughter of Rafaela Ybarra and Domingo Ybarra whom she will meet in heaven. In addition to her mother and father, she is predeceased by her brother Alfredo Ybarra, and sister Maria Cantu. She is survived by Jose, Yvette, Anthony, brother Raul Ybarra, sisters Elida Ybarra and Dominga “Ruthie” Alvarez. She cared and had so much love for her other family members Katy, Bonnie, Manda, Ignacio Valdez, Diana Valdez, Erika Jahn, Nachito Valdez and Derrick Valdez Ignacio Jr.

She will be missed by many other nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and family. Yolanda was an extremely hard worker and was kind to everyone she met. She had a very big heart and wanted nothing but the best for her children whom she lived for. She would not want anyone to be saddened by her death and would have wanted everyone to know she is in a better place and longed to be next to her mother. That she is happy. She would want everyone to be happy for her and to celebrate her. But, ultimately to appreciate and to be kind to one another.

There will be a public visitation held on Saturday August 14, 2019 at 2pm with a service at 4pm.  Services will be held at Bay Area Funeral Directors 5410 FM 1765 Texas City, Texas 77591.  409-933-4300
