Aris “Nathan” Smith, was born on September 27, 1982 in Texas City, Texas to Rita Smith.
Nathan, lived in Texas City his whole life and attended Texas City High School and later obtained his G.E.D. Nathan was employed with The Galveston County Health District Animal Resource Center as an Animal Care Technician for 5 years, where he was well recognized. Nathan, enjoyed playing his video games, and watching basketball, football and wrestling. Nathan, also loved to look good!
Nathan gained his wings on October 14, 2019 in Texas City. He is preceded in death by his beautiful mother Rita Smith and his grandfather Aris Henry Smith, Sr.
He leaves to cherish his wonderful memories with his sisters, Myesha Smith of Texas City; Carly Smith of Texas City and his brother Romeo Smith of Texas City. His grandmother, Lillie Mae Smith of Texas City. His aunts Marilyn Walker, Michelle Smith and Percy Smith all of Texas City; His uncles, Verril Young of Texas City, and Aris Henry Smith, Jr of Austin. His god-son Keithan Leach. His cousins, Dontrae Smith, Shantel Lacaze, Lillie Mae Burton, and Melicha, McKenzie and a host of family and friends.
Nathan will be remembered for being a humble, honest, quiet, caring and just an overall great man who loved his family and Nathan was loved by so many who was blessed to have the opportunity to meet him.
There will be a public visitation held on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at 3pm with a chapel service to begin at 4pm. Services will take place at Bay Area Funeral Directors located at 5410 FM 1765, Texas City, Texas 77591
