James (Jimmy) Fletcher Holton,Jr., 70, of Texas passed away October 31, 2019 in Baton Rouge, LA.
Son, Brother, Husband, Father, and Grandfather were his titles. He had a zest for life and loved traveling. Jimmy was proud to be an Eagle Scout and an accomplished yacht racer. As an outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing, boating, hunting, and field trials with his dogs. He loved to cook, meet new people, laugh, and tell stories with his friends. Through the years, Jimmy was a business owner, real estate broker, wood turner, and gourd enthusiast.
Born in Houston, TX, August 13, 1949, he was son of the late James Fletcher Holton and Pauline Coffey Holton. He was also preceded in death by half-brothers Doyle Walters and Bobby Walters.
Jimmy is survived by his wife of 47 years, Barbara (Barbie) Gayle Budd Holton. He is also survived by daughters Trisha Gayle Holton Mihalik and Tammi Lynn Holton Rohlfs; grandchildren Jillian Diane Rohlfs, Madison Elizabeth Mihalik, Mallory Gayle Mihalik, Logan Heath Rohlfs, and Ryan James Rohlfs; son-in-laws Brian William Mihalik and Tyson Heath Rohlfs.
Jimmy will be dearly missed by all. In remembrance of his life, he wanted a party with his family and friends. There will be celebrations in the Galveston Bay and Dallas areas. Dates to be in January of 2020.
