Omari Ryan Nolton was born March 8, 1982 in Houston, Texas to his loving parents James Nolton and Violet Smith Nolton. Omari passed away on February 16, 2020.
On Sunday mornings, Omari would faithfully attend New Hope Church in Webster, Texas and Thursday service to come home to tell what was going on. Omari was a quiet and kind person in the community.
Omari attended St. Barnabas Episcopal School, Webster Primary, McWhirter Elementary/Middle Schools and Clear Brook High School. Omari played with NASA Little League Baseball, Bay Area Baseball League and football with the Clear Lake Space Raiders during his youth. Omari was an avid sports fan who enjoyed reading his Texas Trophy Hunters and Ducks Unlimited magazines along with his books on dog breeds from the Westminster Dog Show, which he never missed. Omari enjoyed using his iPad for his other passions which included motorcycles, trucks and sport cars.
In addition to his loving parents, he is also survived by brothers, Jamaal and Michael Nolton; sisters, Lisa and and Tomesa Nolton. Omari also leaves behind aunts, Virginia Spann (William), Marilyn Smith, Doris Smith, Athalena Nolton, Willene Nolton, Mary Ann Nolton and Rylene Nolton; uncles, Thomas Smith (Carolyn), Lonnie Nolton (Daisy) and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and loving friends.
Omari’s wings were ready but our hearts were not. Let’s rest in the peace and comfort that Omari is safe in the care of God’s loving arms as he enters the kingdom of Heaven. Omari made it home.
Funeral services for Omari will be held on Monday, February 24, 2020. A visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. followed by a celebration of his life at 12:00 p.m. Both events will take place at the chapel of Bay Area Funeral Directors – 5410 FM 1765 (facing Highway 3) in Texas City, TX 77591. 409-933-4300.
