Derion Demon Chambers, 18, passed away on December 31, 2020 at Mainland Medical Center.
Born in Galveston, Texas, he was the son of Brandi Chambers and Keith Andrews. He was in his senior year at Ball High School.
He enjoyed writing music and spending time with his devoted cousins and friends. He will be remembered for his contagious smile and love for writing rap songs and making videos.
He is survived by parents, Brandi Chambers and Keith Andrews; grandparents, Ruth Chambers, Johnny Maxey, Sr., Camille Richardson (Nana), Viola Mouton and Roma Andrews; aunts, Demitra Chambers, Letisha Chambers, Tina Chambers, Joyce Maxey, Shirley Benjamin, Mary Winn and Karen Maxey; uncles, Emery Chambers, John Chambers, Gregory Chambers, Johnny Maxey III and Adrian Andrews; sisters, Robyn Bell, Yani Blake and Keonni Andrews; brothers, Devon Bell, Jayveon Hutchins and Jimar Andrews; devoted cousins, Lil Emery, Cordarrel, Monique, Kristian, Diamond, Shaunta, D’aisa, Leonisha, Lil Leo, Briana, Roniquial and Javario along with a host of family and friends.
He is predeceased by grandparents, Margaret Maxey, Margaret Shepard, and Johnny Maxey, Jr., Wesley Richardson, Clarence Andrews and Keith T. Andrews, Sr., Uncle Paul and cousins, Brandon Stelly, Jr. and Kevin Chambers.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at 1:00 pm at the chapel of Bay Area Funeral Directors, 5410 FM 1765 (facing Highway 3) in Texas City, TX 77591 with interment at the Lake View Cemetery in Galveston, Texas. The viewing will be held from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers may be made to the funeral home. 409-933-4300.
