Sherell Bell-Dubois Obituary (1979 - 2017)

On August 8, 1979, a bundle of joy by the name of Sherell Elaine Rashanette Bell was born to Winifred Joyce Bell and the late Reverend Johnny Ray Lewis at UTMB Hospital in Galveston, Texas. Sherell gained her heavenly wings as she went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Sunday, July 9, 2017. During her life here on earth, she attended public schools in the La Marque Independent School District until her senior year. Sherell received her High School Diploma in 1997 from Hitchcock High School in Hitchcock, Texas. She furthered her education receiving a certification in Pharmacy Technology from the Everest Institute. However, her greatest accomplishment and where she received the most joy and satisfaction out of life was helping and serving others. If anyone knew Sherell, they would know that this is a definite fact about her. Sherell accepted Christ into her life at age 7 and was a member of Antioch New Day and attended Rosharon Church of God in Christ. She is preceded in death by: her father; her sister, Tina Lewis; her maternal grandparents, Edward Clinton, Sr. and Joyzelle Bell; her paternal grandparents, Julius Braziel and Annie Lewis; maternal uncle, Dwayne Bell and her devoted cousin, Terri Lynnell King. Left to cherish her memories are: her husband Sean Dubois; loving daughter, Shyla Dubois; devoted mother, Winifred Bell; loving sisters, Monique Bell (fiance Troy Hightower), Chauncia Tottenham and D'Mitria Bell; brother, Johnathan Lewis; two maternal great-aunts, Vinnelle Briscoe (James) and Elnora Johnson; maternal great-uncle, Melvin Byrdlon; maternal aunts, Phyllis Bobino, Jocelyn Bell and Michelle Bell-Thomas; maternal uncles, Edward Bell, Jr., (Dollie), Kim Bell, Sr. (Deanna), Matthew Bell, Sr. (Paulina) and Alan Bell; paternal aunts, Ruthie Brown, Diane White and LaShawn Colvin; paternal uncles, Thomas Ray Lewis, Julius Lewis, George Lewis, Larry Turner, Roosevelt Jackson and Jessie Jordan; devoted best friend, Sarah Jones, and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. There will be a public visitation on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. followed by a service to celebrate her life at 11:00 a.m. Both events will be held at Bay Area Funeral Directors, 5410 FM 1765 (off Highway 3) Texas City, TX 77591. 409-933-4300.
