Thomas Moore Obituary (1944 - 2017)

Thomas "Blue-Steel" Moore of Dickinson, TX was born April 16, 1944 in Brenham, TX to Johnny Young and Bessie Mae Moore. He has been a resident of the Galveston County Area for many years raising his children here with his devoted and loving companion for over 40 years with the late Claudie Roberts. He passed away January 14, 2017 at Harbor Hospice in Houston, TX. In his free time, he enjoyed making BBQ and cooking chili beans. He is preceded in death by his parents Johnny Young and Bessie Mae Moore; brother, Pierce Lee Thornton as well as his devoted companion Claudie Roberts. He leaves to morn his passing, his brothers, Bobby Thornton, Louis Thornton, Pierce Lee Thornton, Curt Young, John Young, and Walter Moore, Jr.; his sisters, Shirley Morris, Rose Perry, Ozell Wiley and Gladis Hines; his children, Tony Cornelius Roberts (Valencia), Troy Fitzgerald Greenwood, Kelvin Deaon Roberts (Rolanda), Donyae La Shayne Roberts and Gwendolyn Moore; grandchildren, Nigel Greenwood and Tiarra Roberts. A Public Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM Saturday, January 21, 2017 followed by Funeral Services at 10:00 AM. Both Services will be held at Bay Area Funeral Directors 5410 FM 1765 Texas City, TX 77591. Burial will follow in Rising Star Cemetery La Marque, TX.
