John David Felter, known by his friends as "Tip" (55),\r\npeacefully passed away of cancer at his home and residence\r\non or about January 1, 2022. \r\n\r\nBorn in Galveston, Texas at UTMB on December 9, 1966, he was the\r\nson of Eugene F. and Martha V. Felter of La Marque, Texas. He\r\ngraduated from La Marque High School in 1985 and attended both\r\nCollege of the Mainland and Galveston College. He was self-\r\nemployed as a skilled carpenter and general contractor for most of his\r\nlife. He also completed training and received Certificates for\r\nAutomotive and Diesel Mechanic maintenance and repair.\r\n\r\n John was a lifelong sports enthusiast and Raider's fan. He was an\r\navid disc golfer and member of the Professional Disc Golf\r\nAssociation. He also enjoyed bowling, fishing, playing cards, and\r\nsurfing. He will be remembered for being a wild and crazy guy that\r\nwas truly one of a kind. John had a good sense of humor, a lot of\r\nfriends, and loved to make other people laugh. He attended many,\r\nmany concerts and loved rock and roll, as well as dance music. He\r\nwas a great dancer; he was always the life of the party, and he knew\r\nhow to have a good time. One thing people will always remember\r\nabout him is that he always wanted to live life to the fullest and he\r\ncertainly did. He will not be forgotten.\r\n\r\n He is survived by his brother Eugene F. Felter, Jr., and his sister\r\nDelia (DD) E. Felter. He was predeceased his parents and his\r\nbeloved dog, Stoked.\r\n\r\n A memorial celebration of his life and remembrance of fun times\r\nwith him will be held in the near future.
